Focus Magic

I came across software called “Focus magic”. Tried in on one of my shots I took 2 weeks back. The result is pretty impressive. You can make not so sharp pictures look sharp by using this

Cropped version for comparison. If you check the eyes on the before and after pics the change in sharpness is clearly visible.

The steps are very simple
1. Load the image
2. Choose the filter option to focus
3. select Blur width and Amount as per requirement
4. Hit the process button
One thing to note is, if you press save, it just saves the processed version to the same file. So make sure that you are always working on a copy.

Ryan Brenizer's Method/"Bokeh panorama" technique

One question I have heard a lot of people ask is, how to get superb bokeh with normal point and shoot camera. My answer till now was to go to the maximum focal length and use the least aperture. But many a times, it is either not possible or wont be enough. I came across this technique while browsing.

This is called Ryan Brenizer's Method/"Bokeh panorama" technique. You can get amazing bokeh with this.

Orton Slide Sandwich

<History and Technique Brief>
This was first used by Michael Orton, thts y its called Orton Slide sandwich, this is done using slide film. The technique is to expose 2 shots of the same subject, one should be over exposed by two stops and the other should be out of focus. Then these two slides are sandwiched together to produce the final image.

This is the age of digital photography, so how aboutcreating a slide sandwich image in digital? its much much easier, u can actually simulate this with photoshop, or any other image editing tools

Why this Blog?
